Our cookies are homemade from scratch in small batches, just like our Grandparents did!  We use ingredients you can pronounce - eggs, flour, sugar, and of course... butter! What you would consider real food.  No artificial ingredients, fillers, additives, or preservatives. Great baked goods start with the best ingredients, and there is no substitute for the flavor of real butter!

Can I select which cookies I want?
Absolutely! You're welcome to choose just one flavor, or every cookie listed! However, prices are based on a variety and are subject to additional charges. Please Email Us with your desired selection, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible with a price.

I don't need 10 dozen, can I order smaller amounts?
You sure can! For smaller quantities please see our full selection of Cookie Trays. They can also be purchased by the box in quantities as small as 2 dozen, please see the entire selection of Cookies. They can also be purchased by the dozen at our retail stores.

Can you guys display them for me on cookie trays?
We got you covered! You can select to have them displayed on trays, see the drop down menu above. All trays need filled to the rim to ship, so we may have to make some order adjustments. We will work with you to get it right!

Can you ship these cookies to me?
We sure can! We've been shipping baked goods to all 50 states since 2006. You pay actual UPS / USPS shipping cost to your location. Add products to your cart and click "Estimate Shipping", where you can simply enter your zip code.

I'm close to one of your retail locations, can I pick it up there?
Yes! You can pickup any order at either Retail Location to avoid any shipping charges. You can select your store at checkout.

Can you guys deliver? I live in town by one of your stores.
We can! Delivery charges may be cheaper than carrier shipping charges. There is a $25 delivery fee + $1.50 per mile (one way). With the price of gas changing so frequently, our delivery charges do as well. Please contact us for the current charges.

The Wedding Cookie Table
Is it Youngstown, Ohio or Pittsburgh, PA where the cookie table at wedding receptions originated? We don't think anyone knows for sure. What we do know is they usually only appear in Northeastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. For those of you who have no idea what we're talking about, imagine a wedding where there is an entire table (or more) of just cookies! It is not unheard of for there to be over 20 cookies per person attending. Questions from the reception hall staff include "Where will the cookie table go?" right before "Where will they cut the cake?"
Credit for "The Cookie Table" is said to go to Italian and Eastern European immigrants who settled in this region. Another theory is that it started during the depression, when flashy wedding cakes were not as common. To reduce the burden and cost for just one family - mothers, grandmas,  aunts, and relatives go to work in the kitchen, baking and freezing cookies until the big day. So, why so many cookies? The tradition is not to try and eat 20+ cookies at the reception (although it sounds like a good time), but to send everyone home with a box of cookies. You bring cookies, eat them, and take some home... that is the tradition.
Cookie tables in our region don't stop at weddings. They have made their way to graduations as well. And we can't remember a Christmas without all of these cookies. Any reason to gather with family and friends, and these cookies usually appear.
Many have grown up in this region and moved away, and their tradition is hard to fulfill. Or for those of you who don't want 80 year old Grandma trying to make a 100 dozen cookies, that's where Butter Maid Bakery can help!
