Timing
Please send your request in writing to the address below at least 6 weeks prior to the date of the event. Any events submitted with less than 6 weeks notice will automatically be declined. We want to give every event requested an equal opportunity & consideration, which means we need time for the selection process. While 6 weeks is our minimum time requirement, additional time is always appreciated.

Location
While we would love to participate in events all over the country, we can only consider requests in our town of Youngstown, Ohio and surrounding area. An exception to this is our current support of U.S. soldiers overseas.

Requirements & Submission
We give back the community in a variety of ways including:
- Daily support to local food banks
- Sponsorship
- Gift cards
- Good old fashion cash
We no longer support with baked good donations.

Due to our solid Facebook awareness of 35,000+ fans, we receive an overwhelming number of requests in comparison to the size of our small family business. Even though many requests are for worthwhile organizations and causes, we regret we can't respond to most requests with a gift.

Because resources are limited, we reserve our support for groups, causes and events best representing Butter Maid Bakery's values, and that make a significant impact in our community. We meet monthly to make decisions on how we will give back to the community, and base our decisions on the following:
- Is your organization clearly a non-profit or charitable 501(C)3?
- Is your request coming from an organization that will improve the health, education, environment, cultural, or civic vitality of our community?

We do not support, or no longer support due to limited resources:
- Requests from or for specific individuals or memorials
- Endowment, capital or annual operating fund drives
- Beauty pageants and talent contests
- Government, religious, fraternal, alumni, trade, professional or social organizations
- Political or partisan organizations, candidates, or organizations established to influence legislation or specific elections
- Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender or national origin

Please make sure the written request includes what is needed, what you will do with it, and who will benefit. Please make sure you include all contact information of the person in charge of receiving the donation, including a mailing address.

Mail To:
Butter Maid Bakery
Attn: Charitable Donations
425 Boardman Canfield Rd
Boardman, OH 44512

Please do not make your request or check the status of the request, in person or by phone at our retail location, by email or any social media; the staff, managers, and owners found at any of the previously mentioned, do not manage them. No such requests will be considered, and no information is available regarding the approval/decline status.

What To Expect Next
We have a set budget, and all requests submitted on time and within our above requirements, will receive an opportunity for consideration. If selected, you will be contacted. If you do not receive a donation by 2 weeks prior to your event, it has not been selected. Status updates cannot be provided and decline notices will not be sent, due to limited resources we regret we are unable to respond to this large number of requests. Thank you in advance for your understanding, and we sincerely thank you for considering Butter Maid Bakery to participate. We wish the very best for your event!

Our Customers Say...

I ordered Kolachi cookies for my mother's 85th birthday with the hopes that they would be like the ones her Hungarian mother used to make when she was young. She LOVED them and said they were exactly like the ones her mother made. We were so impressed with how quickly they shipped and how delicious they were.

I grew up in Pennsylvania and Judy Jean Pastries made the "nut roll". I have since moved away and they have closed. I have been searching for the specific taste and The Butter Maid Bakery has it. As soon as I took the first bite of the Kolachi all the memories of home and my mother came flooding back to me. As a special treat add a slice of ...
